Refactor checkout webhook handler
Three steps. About a minute.
The whole point of Pretro is to disappear into the background so the team can have a real conversation.
Click start
Pick poker or retro. We give you a 6-character room link instantly. No signup. Like, actually no signup.
Drop the link
Paste it in Slack, in the calendar invite, in a DM. Teammates land in the room in five seconds flat.
Run the ceremony
Estimate the sprint or work the start-stop-continue board. Save a team code and your next retro picks up where this one left off.
Why teams keep coming back
Built around the friction the corporate tools forgot to fix.
Zero-friction joins
Paste a link in Slack. Teammates pick a name, pick an emoji, they are in. No invites, no SSO, no workspace setup.
Poker and retro in one place
Same vibe, same identity, same room. Stop bouncing between two tools every other Friday afternoon.
Personality that ships
Throwable emojis, gif reactions, looping elevator music, silly icebreakers. The fun meeting actually feels fun.
Continuity without accounts
Save a team code like PRETRO-K4Q9. Action items carry forward between retros without anybody logging in.
Frequently asked
Short answers, opinions included.
Do I really not have to sign up?
Really. Your name and emoji avatar live in your browser. No email, no password, no Google login. The trade-off is that if you wipe your browser storage you lose your team code, so save it somewhere if you want continuity.
How is this different from Parabol or EasyRetro?
Parabol is the enterprise all-in-one. EasyRetro is retro-only. Pretro is one tool for poker and retro, with no accounts, built by an engineering manager for his own team. It is opinionated, indie, and free during the dogfood phase.
What does the team code actually do?
When you start a retro, Pretro generates a code like PRETRO-K4Q9. Anyone who reuses that code in their next retro will see last sprint's action items pre-loaded as 'commitments from last time' so the team can mark them done, dropped, or carried.
Can I export a retro?
Yes. The host can download cards, votes, and action items as CSV at any point during or after the retro.
Is it free?
Yes, while we dogfood with real teams. A flat per-team Pro tier is on the roadmap once we are confident it earns the price, but core poker and retro will stay free for solo teams.
